This project had some pretty large goals. The building started as a dated 1986 one-story rancher and was transformed into a contemporary 2 story home with modern features. The unique property line challenged us to change the angle in order to create a smooth visible line from the foyer to the kitchen in order to visually engage the homeowners and their guests. We also wanted to create as much usable space as possible while maintaining a modern open concept floor plan. This included glass stairs with modern railings that lead up to the second-floor loft with rec room. The second floor also overlooks the foyer. Working with DMC Contracting on this project we ensured the home was updated to use modern-day materials including the triple sliding doors that open onto a beautiful patio.
