09 Mar Buildex Vancouver 2016: Renovations and top-notch products
The Draft On Site team was thrilled to be an exhibitor at Buildex Vancouver 2016! It was an excellent opportunity to connect with our fellow construction experts in the Lower Mainland, several of whom were also homeowners considering doing home renovations in the near future.
Home Renovations
A large proportion of the people who came to talk to us at our exhibitor display at Buildex were homeowners. They approached us about their personal renovation plans and most of them ended up asking us to design their renovations.
This is one of the most wonderful parts of what we do: Discussing renovations is very personal. Since our homes are often our most valuable possessions, a renovation is NOT something our team takes lightly.
We work to see what we can do to make your dreams a reality. Sometimes that means your renovation designs go through a dozen or two dozen variations before we find the perfect design that meets as many of your requirements as possible.
We know renovations can be a stressful experience, so our mission is to keep the process as transparent and understandable as possible. It’s one aspect of our business that we’re constantly working to refine: Making renovations less stressful. We expect it will be a lifelong goal!
Amazing Products
The other most valuable aspect of Buildex Vancouver was meeting the other exhibitors. We were able to connect with some incredible renovation and construction material brands, such as XL Flooring, Modern Classic Doors, and Fireplaces Unlimited.
Because we’ve worked with these brands, plus other exhibitors that we trust, over the past few years, it was exhilarating to be able to pitch other companies’ products in such a supportive atmosphere.
We also had the chance to hear what those brands thought about our assessment of their products, which we believe to be the best of the best on the market, and see how accurate our knowledge was of their industries and products.
Our Take
Attending Buildex and other trade shows like it allows us to connect with people and suppliers in order to have conversations about their goals and the scenarios they encounter during renovations and construction projects. It’s the perfect opportunity for us to reassess the products and services that we offer at Draft On Site. We get to encounter a wide array of clients that we normally don’t expose ourselves to on a regular basis.
On a personal level, Buildex was an excellent venue for getting to know some clients’ stories. We got to hear about their renovation dreams and also tell them more about what Draft On Site can offer.
